☻ If one is standing on England's Salisbury Plain, and facing due North at exactly nine tenths of a second after 2:42 AM, on the 165th day each year one would witness a micropulse of light transmitted from a point in space approximately 15 lightyears distant, and one would have received the first piece of the puzzle for the true reason the megalith known as Stonehenge was constructed in 2950 BCE

☻ The trouble with that requirement is that nobody has been there to witness the transmission, and the signal has gone unheeded for thousands of years. One can only pity the sentient being on the other end saying "one ringy dingy, two ringy dingy" ... While it's true, yes, that John Blythe and Rose Daniels were on site in 1846 but, as luck would have it, were otherwise preoccupied and failed to notice due to elevated levels of passion, adrenaline and condensation accumulated on their eyewear

☻ The Sentinal, (who has taken the earth name Quay Lewd, because he overheard a mother use the word while discussing her newborn baby) was the sole individual placed on earth with instructions to wait for the signal, and advised to blend into society to make the wait bearable. Quay has done just that ... and, during tonight's transmission, was sitting in McDuff's Tavern with Trudy the fiesty tavern wench ensconced firmly on his knee, only glancing at his watch too late to make the 10 kilometer trip in time

☻ Having spent centuries aquiring the taste and tolerence for Bangers & Mash, Shepherds Pie, and Spotted Dick, (usually served cold due to raucous tavern inefficiency) .. and various forms of viscous liquids, known hereabouts as Ales, Stouts, and Meads, (usually served warm due to some misguided notion that they were meant to be quaffed at room temperature.) Quay was hesitant, to say the least, to find out if the home office was calling, and if they were, what they might want .. he was in no mood for re-assignment to the swamps of Black Bog 9 and their lizard-based society and diet ... Let 'em stew in their own juices, once acclimated to, fiesty tavern wenches were hard to put down
