If I remember correctly, Mr. Fishburne lied about his age during casting. He was actually fourteen

There is an interesting documentary about the "making of" .. called: Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse (1991) that tells of ALL the problems during filming

factoid: Nicolas Cage is a Coppola and changed his name to avoid favoritism/comparison ... no sleeping his way to the top for him!

I knew he'd changed his name & distanced himself from his family & when he does something crazy I'm sure they're very happy about THAT. But as young as 14, no, I didn't know.
