But I say to YOU, if there's music on PBS (public broadcasting), it must be pledge night ... Tonight they played PINK FLOYD, Dark Side of the Moon, 1994, Earl's Court, London, LIVE (sorta) (followed by THE DOORS).. and sho' nuf .. pledge night

the reason this Frosts my Cookies, is because PBS, during pledge night, says "If you'd like to support fine music like this, on PBS, then consider a donation\subscription" ... THEY ONLY PLAY MUSIC ON PLEDGE NIGHT .. all the rest of the time it's British mysteries and such

Don't get me wrong, British Mysteries are fine .. If you're in need of sleep (I kid, I kid) .. I have no use for them, but my mother is addicted. She's been to England twice, got "nicked", and snapped her ankle clean through, spending a week or two of her 6 week holiday in traction being 'lovingly' referred to as the bloody foreigner ... but she would return in a heartbeat




I, like most folks, appreciate all kinds of music .. I feel I grew up in a GREAT time for melodic audibles ... and by the time the eighties hair bands arrived they should have 'binned' the broadcast airwaves (again, I kid .... NOT!) ... Pink Floyd is one of, if not THE favorite band of mine.. on the unique'osity meter, during their time, they have not been touched. I have seen them in all configurations, together and solo, including a drive from SFO, to LA to see "The Wall", which was only performed in New York and Los Angeles, in the USA (1980) .. (about 500 miles, not counting the extra 200 miles added, because SOMEBODY forgot their purse 100 miles out)
